Jungle Canyons on the Rio Dulce
The dense canopy pours down the steep walls of the Rio Dulce canyon as this ‘sweet river’ winds through the jungle, approaching Livingston and it’s terminus in the Boca Barra on the Caribbean Sea. Kayaks on the waterways are the transportation of choice here, machetes and will needed to cut through the foliage on land. The White Heron stands out in contrast to the deep greens surrounding this landscape, the prominent gatekeeper at the water’s edge along the way.
