Meeting Fires Creative

A series of landscapes I shot while traveling from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in September. Very cool trip – lots of high desert solitude (minus the steady stream of traffic of course), Joshua Trees, the edge of the Mojave, entrance to Death Valley…. One could spend a few weeks in these parts, camped out, shooting the desolate horizon and watching the tumbleweeds blow. I imagine the sky at night would be fantastic…if you are far enough from the lights of Las Vegas. While my time in the high desert was short, I loved what I saw and will return to capture more of this fantastical place.
